Position Summary:
The Application Security Architect plays a pivotal role in IT security for the client by designing, building, testing, and implementing cutting-edge secured applications and system tools. This key team member is an expert in application security architecture and possesses a deep understanding of complex IT systems, staying informed of the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, and best practice security products. As the Application Security Architect, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive application security architecture strategy for the organization. You will provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure all secured application and systems are optimized for maximum effectiveness. You will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure project status, activities, and achievements are communicated effectively. 

Required Skills:
  • Expert /Senior Application Development PEN testing Skills - developing, scripting architecting, deploying customized security applications and security tools
  • 7+ years of experience in the Information Security field
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information security, computer science, or information technology
  • Some scripting and /or development ability to customize existing security tools
  • Secure software development practices including, secure design principles, secure coding, code analysis, security testing
  • Industry certification such as CISSP, CEH, CCSP, GDSA, or equivalent professional certificates
  • Strong knowledge of network devices, security solutions, technology platforms
  • Flexible, pragmatic, and results-driven approach to information security risk management
  • Convey information effectively and professionally to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Systematic, data-driven approach to security and risk analysis with the ability to think laterally while implementing security improvements
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management; Application Security, cryptography and protocols; Secure System Development Live Cycle; Security Incident Management and monitoring; Security Operations including security service provider; and Vulnerability management and penetration testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with identifying and understanding the most common application security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
