Demand Planner

Job Description
The Demand Planner is responsible for maintaining sales forecasts and will own the daily management of forecast operations - collaborating with sales and marketing related to forecast requirements and accuracies. The person in this role will also analyze forecasts vs. usage and make recommendations to maintain appropriate service levels while reducing inventory. You will also assist with product releases, sales planning / scheduling, and improving processes to gain more efficiencies and reduce costs
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations analysis, engineering, quantitative analysis, business administration, or closely related field (MBA or master’s degree preferred)
- 3 years of experience in production/inventory/forecasting environment
- Strong experience with forecasting application software - Demantra or Exceedra a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and statistical knowledge with thorough attention to detail
- Experience reviewing inventory turns by category and providing reports for trend analysis
- ASCM/APICS certification  - CSCP or CPIM a plus
- Strong analytical and process management skills
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI
- Ability to facilitate the consensus process between Customer forecasts with Marketing forecasts .
- Ability documenting and challenging forecast assumptions based upon the analysis of market data, industry statistics and market dynamics.
