Senior Embedded Linux Engineer (UAV Systems)
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Our client is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to develop software for next-generation UAV and autonomous systems. This role will focus on embedded Linux platforms, hardware integration, low-level software development, and system performance optimization from prototype through production.

Our client is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to develop software for next-generation UAV and autonomous systems. This role will focus on embedded Linux platforms, hardware integration, low-level software development, and system performance optimization from prototype through production.
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years of embedded software or embedded Linux development experience
- Strong experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot, and C/C++
- Experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, and USB
- Experience with device drivers, debugging, system integration, and performance optimization
- UAV, robotics, aerospace, defense, or industrial automation experience preferred
