Job Description
We are seeking qualified candidates for a Global Sourcing Specialist
Business Purpose of job
The Global Sourcing Specialist’s primary focus is to provide technical assistance to support the supplier sourcing function within a cross-functional product category team(s) and to lead varying research/projects within the Sourcing Department.
Required Skills
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience
- 1-4 years of experience in engineering or purchasing; experience working with China-based supplier(s) is desirable
- Excellent computer skills to include an advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office; proficiency in Tableau or Excel (power user, pivot tables) or other business analytics software is desirable
- Knowledge and experience with problem-solving, and process improvement tools
Additional Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, including plastic injection molding, and metal stamping
- Highly organized self-starter who can manage multiple projects at one time
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven project management skills and the ability to clearly present (written and verbal) recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues
- Must be able to travel to overseas suppliers on occasion
