Job Description

SQL Server ETL Developer (On-Site, Short-Term Project)

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database ETL Developer/Consultant to join our team for a short-term, on-site data migration and mapping project spanning approximately 1-2 months.

The ideal consultant/candidate will possess a comprehensive background in SQL Server database creation, development, and ETL data transformation skills. With a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience, you will be responsible for planning, mapping designing and executing complex data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Your proficiency in building scripts, stored procedures, data cleansing techniques, testing and basic SQL Server DBA skills will be crucial in achieving project success.

This project covers mapping data from two legacy home grown SQL Server and Access based manufacturing applications to a new ERP package system, You will work with in-house staff and consultants with the new ERP system to complete the project.

Required Skills:
 
  • 5+ years of SQL Server database expertise in designing, developing, and enhancing database structures
  • Execute end-to-end ETL processes, utilizing your proven experience in data transformation techniques, particularly with tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Utilize your mastery of creating/optimizing scripts, stored procedures, contributing to efficient data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
  • Apply your data cleansing skills to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the ETL migration project.
  • Demonstrate your proficiency in basic SQL Server DBA skills.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions to support the migration project.
  • Utilize your optional expertise in the manufacturing industry, ERP systems, and order entry systems to provide valuable insights and enhancements to the project.
  • Complete tasks on-site and independently within the designated 1-2 month timeframe.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.

Desired Skills:
  • Desired skills include experience in the manufacturing industry, working with ERP systems, and familiarity with order entry systems.
  • ERP System TOTAL ETO (Engineer to Order MRP/ERP) NOT Required
