Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the client’s long-term goals, values, and mission.
- Through extensive market research, build and manage a robust innovation pipeline, and eventually oversee the development of new products, services, or processes through various stages from concept to launch.Â
- Actively monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to identify potential opportunities for innovation and disruption.Â
- Manage members of the innovation team.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (product management, consulting, market research, innovation).
- Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the client’s long-term goals, values, and mission.
- Experience doing extensive market research, to build and manage a robust innovation pipeline, and lead and oversee the development of new products, services, or processes through various stages from concept to launch.Â
- Skilled at Actively monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs fordentifying potential opportunities for innovation and disruption.Â
- Ability to Manage members of the innovation team
- Â Experience in conducting market research (market trends, customer segmentation, competitive landscape, etc.).
- Experience in building business cases to justify investment in new growth opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilitiesÂ
- Knowledge of software development and related technologies.
- Rail or transportation experience/ exposure (preferably developed software solutions to parties in the North American railroad ecosystem)
- Experience/ exposure to other modes beyond rail: trucking, ocean (preferably developed software solutions or services).
- Experience with Design Thinking tools and methodologies.
- SAAS product management experience
