POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Network Engineer role will be responsible for ensuring is responsible for creating and maintaining system networks.
This role is responsible for understanding network technologies and the integration of those technologies to create a secure and efficient networking environment.
This role also includes working closely with technology vendors where necessary and ensuring that all changes through those vendors are monitored for timeliness and completeness.
Required Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 Years Information Systems experience in Network Administration
- Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with Firewall and network administration.
- Manage Cisco ASA firewalls
- Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
- Design and maintain the monitoring program for the technical infrastructure (servers, WAN, LAN) that will position us to manage proactively.
- Create, test and maintain disaster recovery procedures for WAN and LAN.
- Manage the network and LAN technical environments based on established best industry practices
- Define, implement and troubleshoot network security issues. This includes TCP/IP, firewall permissions, NAT, Ports and protocols
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- In depth understanding of security controls and configurations for network components
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced with Cisco Network
- Familiarity with Citrix, VMWare, and SAN technologies
- Experience maintaining a Wide Area Network and Local Area Network
- Experience with the administration of systems and servers related to the Citrix environment
- Working knowledge in the following:
- MPLS & Frame Relay support
- BGP & EIGRP support
- IPSEC and SSL VPNs configuration and support
- Layer 3 switching support
- VLAN configuration and support
- Wireless (WCS) maintenance and support
